Recreate the famous sweet and creamy Grape Salad from Chicken Salad Chick at home. This easy copycat recipe combines juicy grapes with a rich dressing and a crunchy pecan topping, making it a perfect side dish for potlucks or holidays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds seedless grapes (red and green mix)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the grapes. Place them in a large bowl.
  2. In a separate medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add the sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Mix until the dressing is completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the grapes. Gently fold the dressing into the grapes until all the grapes are evenly coated.
  5. Spread the grape salad mixture onto a serving platter or into a serving bowl.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the chopped pecans and brown sugar. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the grape salad.
  7. Cover the salad and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving. This allows the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For the best texture, ensure your grapes are completely dry before mixing them with the dressing.
  • You can prepare the grape salad mixture (without the topping) a day ahead. Keep it covered in the refrigerator. Add the pecan topping just before serving.
  • If you prefer a lighter version, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt.
